Lori & Kyle- August 22, 2009

How do I even start?!  Lori was referred to Remember This Day by a former bride whose wedding was the previous month.  As soon as Lori and I met- we knew we would be a great match!!  She's so spunky and fun and really has an eye for detail... which was perfect!  She and Kyle just needed someone to execute their wedding vision, and guide them a bit throughout the way!  Needless to say, it was one of my favorite weddings, and we were so honored to be a part of it!

After getting everyone ready at the Philadelphia Downtown Courtyard by Marriott, their special day began at the exquisite The Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul... such a perfect Church and backdrop for sharing their vows!  Also, quite a tourist spot... so my assistant and I made sure that no one walked in and interrupted the ceremony once it began!  :-)

After the ceremony ended, the black-tie optional reception began at the ever-unique Crystal Tea Room in Philadelphia.  The royal blue with yellow and orange accents completed the look of the evening, with a fun atmosphere that included many wine-themed accents, a tequila toast, trolley ride, candy buffet, double-dutch rope jumping, cigar bar and a very special "Single Ladies" choreographed dance by Lori and her bridesmaids!  There were so many unique elements in this wedding- and the guests truly loved them all!!

The spectacular EBE Rio rocked ALL night long... and was truly a talent!!  I don't know if I've ever seen so many people dancing at one time!

We had the pleasure of working with Martin's Video, once again...

Geoffrey from Leapfrog Photo took these absolutely breath-taking photographs... his photography skills amaze me every time I look at these pictures!!  They're simply beautiful!  Hence, why there are such an abundance of pictures in this blog- I just couldn't decide!!  Definitely look into hiring Leapfrog for your upcoming wedding- Geoffrey rocks...

The after-party continued at Lucky Strikes, where Remember This Day set up all of Lori and Kyle's fun "props" and accessories for their guests to enjoy!  Such a unique idea... love it!!

Congratulations once again, Lori and Kyle!!!  I'm still jealous about your fabulous honeymoon!!

Anna & Klay- August 1, 2009

Anna and Klay were married on a beautiful summer day in August.  Their ceremony was held at Saint Hedwig's Catholic Church in Wilmington, Delaware- with their reception following at the extravagent Chase Center on the Riverfront in downtown Wilmington (which by the way, is a GREAT venue with soooo many possibilities!)  Formal pictures were taken at the GORGEOUS Gibraltar Gardens... breath-taking to say the least!

The couple chose a palette of pinks to adorn their tabletops and decor... The European Gallery provided the flowers for the reception, and Judy from Creations for Celebration created the Bridal Party flowers, bouquets and bouts!  I really think everything came together perfectly...

The reception began after the formal Polish tradition of vodka shots and bread breaking with a blessing said by the Mother of the Bride! I just love how their heritage and traditions played such a role in their Day...not to mention all of the Polka dancing later in the night....

DND Limousine got the bridal party there in time... and the wonderful team at Sherif Zaki made sure their hair and makeup (the girls, obviously!) were to the "9's"!!

Family friend, Dale Mann DJ'ed the reception and got everyone involved on the dance floor!

Special thanks to Kathy Atkinson, the couple's photographer (and teacher at the University of Delaware!) for capturing such great pictures of their Special Day!

We wish you a lifetime of happiness and memories, Anna and Klay!

Jenn & Shawn- August 14, 2009

I've been looking forward to blogging about this wedding for a long time!! I met Jenn back in college in Italian conversation class. We really got along, and so when she and Shawn got engaged, she contacted

Remember This Day for her coordination services! Needless to say, I was ecstatic to work with her, and knowing her personally- I had no doubt in my mind that this wedding was going to be one for the books!!!

Jenn and Shawn were married at the gorgeous St. Thomas the Apostle in Bloomfield, NJ, with their

extravagent reception following at Season's Catering... which was such a phenomonal venue, and the staff was just on the ball with everything! (They even offered to help when Jenn had forgotten her garter belt and I started sewing her one from scratch!! Needless to say, garters aren't often left at reception venues- but luckily I had some lace in my "bag of goodies" to work on!) Anyways- back to this amazing wedding....

Jenn and Shawn chose a beautiful color palette of turquoise and pink to capture their sparkling personalities and the summer vibe. The centerpieces were created by Jennifer and Shawn- with alternating vase heights filled with turquoise gems and submerged orchids with floating candles atop each vase.

DTM Productions provided the lighting and NYC-style entertainment.... it was obvious that everyone enjoyed the music- as the dance floor was never empty (even during dinner!)  Where Flowers Bloom provided the gorgeous bouquets...  Jeanine Mangan dolled the girls up with her fabulous makeup skills... while Michelle LoConte from  I Do turned their locks into beautiful 'dos. Not to mention, In-Focus Productions provided the videography for Jenn and Shawn to watch for years to come!

The amazing John Gallino worked hard all day long and it really shows through his beautiful images! Congratulations!!  We wish you many many decades of happiness and memories :-)

Laura & Eric- August 2, 2009

Laura and Eric were married on a warm summer afternoon in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. The ceremony took place at the First United Methodist Church, with the reception following at The Westin.

I first met Laura and Eric back in October of 2008, when they realized that planning a New Jersey wedding from down in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, was going to be a bit more difficult than originally anticipated. I knew from the beginning that we would be a great match... especially since Eric is part Ukrainian! By choosing to hire Remember This Day for their day-of coordination, they didn't have to worry about a single detail being missed... or things not running on schedule- we were there to make sure that their wedding day was nothing short of amazing!

Standford Flowers provided the absolutely stunning floral bouquets and bouts, while Laura and Eric's vision of their personalized centerpieces came to life on each and every table.  Shades of aqua and pink with brown accents adorned the decor at every turn....

The A Band was amazing, and really got the party going (and continuing all night long!!!) Often my assistant and I were unsure if it was actually them singing, or a cd!

Elegante Limos provided the transportation for the day, and Martin's Video once again did a fabulous job capturing Laura and Eric's BIG day on film!

HUGE thanks to Stringer Photographyfor the stunning images that they photographed.... they really show the fun and relaxing atmosphere that was Laura and Eric's wedding day.

CONGRATS, you two! Hope you had an amazing Meditteranean cruise honeymoon... I'm jealous!

Hey my lovelies!!  As I'm sure most of you know, weddings and special events tend to gather themselves in the warmer months- which leaves the "off season" for event vendors.  We definitely keep busy, but often have a bit more availability... with that in mind, please view Remember This Day's most recent promotion:

Deals and Specials

Hope to hear from you soon!  And keep your eyes posted for a bunch of new weddings and events that Remember This Day has coordinated throughout the summer and fall months... I hope to blog about them before the holidays!!!

Have a fabulous day!

Jamie & Chris- May 30, 2009

Jamie and I first started working together on her wedding back in January of 2008.  She was one of Remember This Day's first clients... and from the very beginning, I knew how special her day was going to be!!  See- Jamie and I have a few things in common: our attention to detail, our taste in wedding decor, and our love for weddings!

This amazing couple was married on a flawless late spring day at Saint Joseph's on the Brandywine.  Not a cloud in the sky... and abundant sunshine filled the day!!

Having a DOC really comes in handy when one of your bridesmaids needs a last-minute dress fix prior to the ceremony!! Hard at work.....

Jamie's mother made beautiful silk floral arrangments for the altar and pews.  Jamie worked diligently with Erin and T.J. Proud from Proud to Plan  on their customized programs, invitations, table numbers and various other signage used throughout their wedding- and the end result was nothing short of fabulous!!  The stationery really pulled all of the details and color scheme together and made it cohesive, with a touch of flair.

Following Jamie and Chris' touching Mass, the couple went to Winterthur for some spectacular pictures, and then the bridal party followed them to the gorgeous Greenville Country Club for more pictures in their rose garden (which was in FULL bloom!!).  The bride and her bridesmaids rented our parasols for some unique garden pictures, too!!  Linda, from Greenville CC was awesome- we worked together and made sure that Jamie and Chris' day went just as they have always imagined it!

The dance floor was packed all night long, thanks to Marquee Band

. The guests enjoyed the cocktails and dancing in the candlelit library, while the outdoor patio was later lined with hurricane vases and candles leading into the abundant rose gardens.

This wedding is a perfect example of how to incorporate your love of the color PINK without overdoing it or having the Groom feel like it's too "girly."   Jamie chose a raspberry bridesmaid dress color, along with various shades of lighter pinks and whites for the centerpieces (provided by the fabulous Wise Originals!!)  This allowed for Jamie and Chris' vision of a fresh, garden wedding to come to life.  Candlelight adorned the cocktail hour, which took place on the outdoor terrace, as well as the mantels in the beautiful ballroom.

I was so honored to be a part of this beautiful couple's wedding day... it went flawlessly- thanks to Jamie's exceptional attention to details, Remember This Day pulling all of those details together and keeping things on schedule, and the amazing vendors that the couple hired for their BIG day!!

Joe from BBS Photography was on point all day and evening and amazed all of us with the stunning photographs that he took!!!  MANY thanks to him for providing these beautiful images for our blog!

We also had the pleasure of working with the great Ken Stillman of Kenneth Stillman Video, who made sure that Jamie and Chris' wedding day was filmed perfectly so that they can look back and Remember This Day for years to come….

Congratulations to the Newlyweds!!!!  :-)

Laura & Dan- July 18, 2009

Laura has been such a phenomonal client!  She even referred me to Lori- whose wedding I'm DOCing next month!  Needless to say, I've been looking forward to their wedding for months now!  From the beginning, Laura and I knew this was a match made in Heaven- because our personalities were so similar and we were always on the same page...

Laura and Dan were married at Media Presbyterian Church in Pennsylvania, with their reception following at the Radisson Plaza-Warwick in Philadelphia.  Their reception was classic and glamorous with a modern twist.  We were really eager to work with Erin Farrell Photography again, too!  Erin and her assistant, Beth (from Elizabeth Crook Photo) captured every special moment, and were nice enough to share these images with us for our blog!  (Love you ladies!!)  Martin's Video provided the videography for the day- it's a pleasure working with them each chance I get!

The Jack Faulkner Orchestra kept all of the guests entertained and on the dance floor... and even stayed for an ENCORE once the reception was over!  The cake was created by the amazing Bredenbeck Bakery... and Belvedere Flowers supplied the luscious floral arrangments!  Limo Today provided the transportation for the bridal party, and Currie Salon beautified the already gorgeous women....

CONGRATS, Laura & Dan!  You are a perfect couple  :-)

The lovely lady on the right side of the above picture will look VERY familiar in my upcoming blog posts- she was one of my August brides- referred to me by Laura!!

Donna & David- July 11, 2009

Where do I start?!  I've been waiting for this wedding for a long time... as have Donna and Dave!!  Donna was the VERY first client of Remember This Day- way back in January of 2008 when I started my company!  This was the first wedding that we worked on from (almost) the beginning (comparable to our recently added "Molto" package).... and it was so awesome seeing everything come together as Donna had envisioned it!  Not a detail was left out- and the guests noticed every last bit of thought that Donna put into her wedding- and it was so nice to know that we helped her out along the way!!  It was such an honor to help Donna & Dave coordinate and plan their wedding... and I'm so happy to have found a friend in Donna, in the process!!

And, in case you're wondering- Beth from Gloss Salon made all of the ladies in the Bridal Party look truly spectacular (she was working with a gorgeous group- so it made her job even easier!!)

This amazing couple exchanged vows in a truly unique and heartwarming ceremony, presided by the fabulous Rev. Natalie Kita Soulmates Ceremonies at the Courtyard pavillion in the Hilton Wilmington-Christiana.  David and Donna put a lot of work into their ceremony, and the sand unity portion was such a wonderful touch!  It incorporated both David and Donna, as well as all of their children- to signify their vows not only uniting one another, but also joining their families!

Pale blues and lavendar hues were used throughout the wedding- and small butterfly accents really added character!  It was the perfect harmony of soft colors and butterfly accents, without going overboard!!  The stationery (invitations, programs, table numbers/menu cards, etc) was all custom-designed by Erin & T.J. at Proud to Plan- and received many compliments!

The cocktail hour was held in the Hilton's sophisticated "Hunt Lounge"- which boasted specialty frozen beverages after the ceremony, and an amazing butterfly ice sculpture!

The reception followed in the "Le Chameleon" ballroom at the Hilton- where Judy from Creations for Celebrations created exquisite centerpieces and arrangements that included submerged roses in a cylinder vase with blue and lavendar flowers adorning the top!!  They were quite the conversation-starter!!  The cake was a main focal point of the reception- with such intrique design and attention to detail- Sweets to Ginger did an awesome job- and it was delicious (from what I'm told!!!)

The guests thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment and dancing- as Don from D&J Entertainment D & J Disc Jockeys spinned tunes all night long!!  Martin's Accent Video provided the videography that will last a lifetime... and Pete Lounsbury was a pleasure to work with!!  MANY thanks to him for providing us with these beautiful images for our website!!

Many years of happiness to Donna & Dave!!  You deserve nothing but the best!!  :-)

Remember This Day has been voted among the Top 5 Wedding Planners Hot List of the Jersey Shore!!!  Not too shabby for our first year in the competition!!  Thank you sooo much for your votes and reviews!!

P.S.- Keep your eyes posted for blog updates of Donna & David as well as Laura & Dan's weddings!!  They were both A-MAZING!!!

Jennifer & Brian- June 20, 2009

Jennifer's grandfather contacted me a few months ago- knowing that his granddaughter needed some extra help for the most special day of her life.  I gladly accepted the responsibility and immediately met with Jennifer and Brian to discuss their planning progress!

They were such a breath of fresh air- and that's exactly what decor they wanted for their wedding day!  Garden fresh, light, relaxed, and elegant.

The ceremony took place in the ballroom at The Colonial Dames House in Philadelphia, PA.  There were large planters full of abundant flowers... light filled the room as they recited their vows and shared in the wine ceremony.

The guests then enjoyed the character-filled library which held the cocktail hour, while we "flipped" the ballroom from ceremony-chic to reception-ready!

Jennifer and Brian infused their adventurous personalities into the reception decor- and did so with Signature Drinks and swizzle sticks from their recent vacation to the Caribbean, wine bottle place cards and custom CD favors for their guests!  The guestbook was super unique, too- a terracotta planter that everyone signed with their well-wishes!!

The ballroom was crisp and fresh with ceramic watering cans filled with cornflower blue and canary yellow flowers overflowing in each centerpiece, and alternating napkins in their signature decor colors! Matlack Florist created these spectacular arrangements that really embodied the "feel" of the day!

Special thanks to Carver Mostardi Photography for providing these breathtaking images!!

"Needlenose Ned" was the great local band who kept the guests dancing the night away...

Herb Scott Catering made a fabulous dinner selection and really helped when it came time to "flip" the ceremony setup into the reception decor in an HOUR!!  They were a pleasure to work with- and not only was their food great- but the service they provided was perfect too!

May this be the beginning of a lifetime FULL of adventures!!!  Congrats!

Melissa & Frank- June 19, 2009

Melissa and Frank were Remember This Day's first ever Wedding Sweepstakes Winners!!!  From a random drawing (and after receiving numerous entries), Frank and Melissa were chosen for Remember This Day's "Bella" Day of Coordination package at a 50% discount!!!!!

I was very excited to begin working with them as soon as I saw that their decor involved nautical themes and boats!!  Melissa had chosen all of the elements so tastefully, and I helped them execute their vision, and guide them in their remaining decisions as their special day drew closer!

The ceremony took place at Harbor View Park, in Cape May, NJ- overlooking the Marina which was filled with rustic boats!  (It truly was a gorgeous backdrop!)  A bagpiper played as guests arrived to the candlelit and hydrangea pail-lined pavillion and adjoining gazebos.  The chair rentals were provided by Weddings By the Sea.

The highlight of the day was the transportation that the Bridal Party used to get from the Marina to the Reception venue- Frank's father's BOAT!!!  What a fun way to arrive....

Melissa and Frank were able to incorporate their Irish/Scottish heritage with the bagpiper and the Groom and Groomsmen's wardrobe!  It was so unique!  Not to mention, the ADORABLE ring bearers and flower girl- who were dressed in little sailor outfits!!

Following the touching ceremony, the reception began at the well-known Lobster House.  Melissa and Frank really showcased their personalities and added personal touches throughout the decor- with such items as their table numbers, card box (it was a treasure chest!!) and place cards (sand dollars!!)

Jack from Above and Beyond DJs kept the evening flowing smoothly and the guests thoroughly entertained!!!

Many thanks to Ben Westog, who provided us with these great photographs!!  Ben was very unintrusive and really took some great shots!!

Steve from Per Sempre Videos (he's new to the Cape May area- and really needs some recognition!!  His work is fabulous!!!), put together this "recap" of Melissa and Frank's Wedding Day.

Hope you both had an amazing honeymoon in Ireland and Scottland!!  Congratulations, once again!

 Sarah & Josh- May 16, 2009

From the first moment I met Sarah, I knew that we were going to have a blast planning her May 16, 2009 wedding!! Sarah is such a ball of energy and full of spunk… and that's exactly what Sarah and Josh's wedding was- laidback, fun, energetic and romantic all at the same time!

Sarah and Josh made their lives one during a romantic late-afternoon outdoor ceremony at Hartefeld National. The minister, Rev. Klett, incorporated many touching moments into their ceremony, including a wine blessing- which was very unique and the guests loved it! The Shrewsbury String Quartet provided the lovely ceremony music which added a wonderful backdrop to the already serene setting.

Following the ceremony, the guests enjoyed a beautiful cocktail hour on the outdoor veranda… full of candlelit lanterns and lush, colorful floral arrangements (while I joined the bridal party who was taking pictures on the golf course and by the serene lake- after having some fun on the golf carts!!). Place cards were displayed by a bed of tall luscious green, pink and ivory flowers, along with sparklers and matches for each guest to use during the couple's first dance as husband and wife! Sarah and Josh really paid attention to all the small details that add up and impressed their guests with the unique aspects of their wedding day….

One of the most unique elements that Sarah and Josh decided to showcase in their summery affair, was what we like a call a "fauxtobooth." Sarah always wanted a photobooth for her guests to enjoy while in the cocktail hour and reception- take some funny pictures, and relax… but the price of renting one was out of their budget. Luckily, I happen to have a fabulous photographer brother who is super talented (his photographs have usually consisted of scenery and landmarks, and he was published in a photo book of images from 9/11!!) Between Remember This Day, Chris, and the happy couple- we were able to custom design the fauxtobooth of their dreams! Sarah and I went to the local fabric store, and she chose a gorgeous fabric that incorporated her wedding colors… then I took it home and sewed the custom drapery that hung from the fauxtobooth! It was a HUGE hit with the guests (who also loved Sarah and Josh's funny hat props!)

Mint green and pink linens and centerpieces accented the ballroom, and the lime-filled centerpieces created by Judy from Creations for Celebration adorned each table. The delicious cake was custom made by none other than Liz Marden.  Sarah custom-made her table numbers, which were numbers that represented a significant numeral in the couple's relationship. The guests really enjoyed learning more about Sarah and Josh while at their seats….

A Candid Image provided these amazing pictures, and made sure that their wedding was captured in gorgeous pictures that will last the couple a lifetime! Reel to Real Video made sure to tape every last moment of the newlywed's ceremony and reception (and trust me, this is a video that they will watch over and over again- especially the Garter placement by a groomsmen on the bouquet catcher…. It was pretty hot and heavy and all the guests were fanning themselves afterwards! haha)

Steve from D&J DJ Entertainment spinned tunes all night long and the guests danced the night away….

With our recommendation, Sarah and Josh chose custom mini-champagne bottle favors from the fabulous Four Seasons Liquors in Newark, DE.  The guests LOVED them!

Once again, we were blessed to work with some amazing vendors- which made this wedding an event bigger success!! HUGE thanks to my newest assistant/intern, Meg…. she really stepped up and made her first event with Remember This Day a great one!

Best wishes and a ton of happiness to the newlyweds!! Have a blast on your honeymoon- I'm jealous!!

Introducing Meg!!!!

Business is booming (which I am so blessed to be able to say!)… and naturally, with such an increase in clientele and events, I knew that I was going to need another assistant to join me and my other intern, Jeny, with coordinating events booked with us...

I wanted to take a moment to introduce Remember This Day's newest intern/assistant, Meg!!

Meg is going into her last year of college at the University of Delaware, where she is majoring in Psychology with a minor in Business. Following graduation, Meg hopes to either pursue her Masters Degree in Business or attend Graduate school and become an Occupational Therapist. Meg has worked at The Bayard House in Chesapeake City, MD for the past 5 years, and has, in the past 3 years, coordinated an uncountable number of weddings and events at the beautiful venue. When we first met with Meg, her passion and drive for event planning and coordination were so apparent… and with her experience in mind, I knew that she would be a tremendous asset to the Remember This Day family!! Her attention to detail, creative ideas and fun and outgoing personality are a perfect fit, and I'm certain that the future holds bright things for her.

In addition to the May 16, 2009 wedding that Meg just assisted me with, she is also already on the calendar for many other weddings and events in the coming months! I can't wait to see what unique and fun ideas she has to offer in the future...

Welcome to the Remember This Day "family," Meg!!!!!  :-)

Gina & Jeff- May 9, 2009

Gina and Jeff contacted me back in June, to coordinate their May 9, 2009 wedding in the Philadelphia, PA area. During our first meeting, I knew immediately that this was going to be one of the funnest and rowdiest weddings that I've been to- so naturally, I was super excited to get cracking on their wedding details!

Rain andstorms filled the days and nights leading up to their wedding- but it was nothing but sunshine and clear skies on Gina and Jeff's wedding day! The two said their vows and joined themselves in marriage at St. Matthew's Church in Philadelphia, PA. The full Mass was so heart-warming, and the guests loved the beauty of the large Church.

Following the Church, Gina and Jeff (along with their Bridal Party) took pictures at Tyler State Park and Bucks County Community College.  The absolutely AMAZING Sarah Schulte and her awesome fiance, John, captured all of the special moments of the day (and trust me, they were kept busy with all of the reception!)

Reception took place at Fisher's Tudor House in Bensalem, PA. The ballroom was adorned with ivory linens and celery satin table runners from Gala Cloths. The pink and ivory floral centerpieces were provided by Infinitely Yours.  The room was abundant with pinks and sage green color… just like Gina envisioned!! Each place setting was complimented with an extremely unique favor from the Philadelphia Pretzel Factory (in the shape of their last name initial!) and placed in wax paper baggies with a custom label for the couple. I still think my car smells like 275+ salted pretzels!! (It makes me hungry just thinking about it!) Gina and Jeff also had the unique idea of substituting the traditional table numbers with table names and pictures of Penn State landmarks, along with a description of each location… this was a great icebreaker for the guests, as well- as it caused mingled amongst the tables!

DJ Dan Breslin from Silver Sound DJs kept the dance floor packed all night long… which made Cindy and Steve from Ken Stillman Video's job that much more enjoyable! (you know the DJ is great when the vendors are holding themselves back from joining the guests on the dance floor!) Cindy, Steve and Dan were absolutely a delight to work with- and kept the flow of the night seamless!  Between the "Boilo Shots," Uncle Dance, Crowd-surfing Bride, breakdancing 5 year old (who caught the garter initially!!), and so many other great moments… Gina and Jeff's wedding infused their own fun personalities into their elegant May wedding. Their guests will always Remember This Day.

All in all, Gina and Jeff's wedding went flawlessly… and I must say, there is nothing better than working with such talented professionals during a wedding or event such as this!! Teamwork is what allowed this wedding to be so laid-back and fun, and went off without a hitch (other than Gina and Jeff who GOT hitched!!)

Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs.!!!!!

Kerry & Keith- April 25, 2009

They say that "April showers bring May flowers"... but there wasn't a cloud in the sky on Kerry and Keith's wedding day this April.  When Kerry contacted me last May, she knew that she needed someone who would execute all of the details and hard work that she was putting into her special day- and that's where Remember This Day came into action!  Kerry envisioned a navy blue and medium-pink palette with lots of candlelight for her wedding day... filled with lush peonies and ranunculus, in addition to numerous other floral varieties.  Flowers By Mary Elizabeth made sure that Kerry's vision was perfectly in place during their afternoon ceremony at St. Thomas the Apostle

Floral wreaths full of hydrangea adorned the wooden Church doors and pew bows were accented with bouquets of flowers attached.  Following their touching ceremony, the bridal party proceeded to the gorgeous Gibraltar Gardens for pictures.  That being said, let me take a moment to RAVE about their amazing photographer, Paul Roebuck... Paul and his assistant never missed a beat!  They were always in place where they needed to be, capturing candid and gorgeous shots throughout their wedding day.  Paul made sure that Kerry and Keith would not only have photographs of all the special and fun moments on their wedding day, but he also made sure that all of Kerry's attention to detail were captured and frozen in time!!  (Anyone who has planned a wedding knows just how much time and effort it takes to choose the right linens, favors, chargers, flowers, etc)- and these pictures prove how great Roebuck Photo is!

The cocktail hour was held in the Atrium of the Mendenhall Inn and the reception followed in their Grande Ballroom.  Kerry knew from our initial consultation that The cocktail hour tables were covered in lush navy pintuck linens from Nancy at Gala Cloths (who also provided the specialty linens in the ballroom- in addition to the chair covers and sashes, and napkins-- which REALLY gave a "pop" of color!!)

Love Jones kept the dance floor packed all night (and even included the bride and her friends to sing their own version of "Ride Kerry Ride"!!)  LoveJones was such a hit- I highly recommend them!

Kerry and Keith had a GREAT team of vendors... and we all worked diligently to make sure that their day went flawlessly- which it did!

Congratulations, Kerry and Keith!!  We hope you both had an amazing honeymoon in Ireland and Scotland... and we wish you many many years of happiness.  We know that you will always Remember This Day!!

March 17, 2009

This past weekend, Remember This Day was a proud sponsor of the Wellness Community of Delaware's (along with the Delaware Comedy Theatre) "Antoinetta and Mickey's Wedding" (think Delaware's version of Philadelphia's "Tony and Tina's Wedding").  It was held in Dewey Beach at The Bay Center- which is a FABULOUS venue located right on the beach- and the ballroom offers some breathtaking views of the ocean!  Also noteworthy- the favors at our table were so unique and fun!  Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory (based in Lewes, DE) had chocolate COVERED mini wine bottles!!  If you're at a loss for a guest favor for your upcoming wedding... definitely look into these really creative options (maybe they can even put your names or monogram instead of the angel flourish?!)

I was very excited to be a sponsor to such a GREAT cause- and the turnout was phenomonal!  Over 175 guests showed their support on Saturday night!  The show itself was hilarious- and definitely "spoofed" some "stereotypical" (although rare!) wedding day issues (Maid of Honor always a bridesmaid never a bride scenerio, In-Laws disliking one another, etc)... it was quite entertaining!

Per their website, the Wellness Community of Delaware's Mission Statement says it all:

"The Wellness Community - Delaware is dedicated to helping people with cancer and their loved ones by providing professionally led programs of emotional support, education and hope as an integral part of conventional medical treatment. More than 80% of the money we raise goes directly to programs, and all of our programs are provided free of charge."

If you're interested, you should definitely look into attending one of their fundraisers!  It's such a wonderful cause- and unfortunately, cancer has touched many of our lives- this organization is so important!

Below are just a few pictures from the evening (I apologize for the unprofessionalism of these pics- unfortunately, I am NOT a professional photographer- and the room was dimly lit!)

Gotta love the Twinkie wedding cake- haha!!

Elegant and Candlelit.  Two words that describe Drew and Laura's December 20th, 2008 wedding!!  Rich shades of burgundy and merlot accented the champagne, gold and ivory decor.  Candles lit the ballroom aglow, and cranberries were drenched in the centerpieces that held floating candles.  A wreath of black magic roses and hypercium berries adorned the outer perimeter of the candles on each table.

Laura was a trooper and a "Do It Yourself" bride- with her custom table numbers, memory table, cocktail napkins, menu cards, programs, and much more!  The guests loved all the thought that was put into this wedding!

The ceremony took place at dusk at Towson United Methodist Church in Towson, MD.  The cocktail hour and reception followed at Hunt Valley Golf Club in Phoenix, MD (just outside of Baltimore).  The guests were entertained and danced the night away, all courtesy of The Fabulous Greaseband (who even dressed up in appropriate costumes while singing the cover "Grease Lightening"!!)  It was such a pleasure to have Photos by Mandi and her assistant, Emily Porter, capture the amazing images from Drew and Laura's special day!!!  Definitely check her out.!!  Finally, the gorgeous flowers and centerpieces were created by Regency Florist.

Planning and coordinating weddings is something I do every day... so being able to attend this wedding, and actually be a member of the bridal party- was such an honor!!!  I must admit, my DOC-nature didn't take a back seat the entire night... I had my bridal emergency kit close by (which came in handy!), and helped to make sure that all the details Laura worked so hard on were photographed!  Needless to say, I wanted to share all of Laura and Drew's hard work off to you, so you can all see that a winter wedding can be FABULOUS and FESTIVE!

The ringbearer, Riley, was a heartbreaker!!!  SO adorable!

In between the ceremony and reception the couple went to walk their beloved dog... made for a really cute photo op!

They had a custom martini luge with their signature drink!  HUGE hit!

A very popular new trend in weddings is a "Heritage Table."  Laura and Drew incorporated pictures of their parents and grandparents on their Special Day.

For favors, they adorned a Christmas tree with various ornaments and attached a cute note letting guests know they were theirs to keep...

We worked with the bridesmaids and stepmother of the bride to develop a bridal shower theme that fit the bride.  We came up with an afternoon "Bridal Tea"... which should be a lot of fun!  In addition to the invitations, we also have hired Cakes by Geralyn to design and bake Jill's bridal shower cake (can't wait to see the final product- Geralyn does AMAZING work!!)

Remember This Day is very proud to display our first stationery products (other than for my own wedding)!  We already have a few future brides that are going to use our work for their upcoming weddings... so keep an eye out for our unique designs!

Happy New Year!!!

2008 was the most amazing year ever (both personally and professionally).  In addition to building my own dreams and making them a reality by pursuing my passion of even planning (and business has been booming, which makes me so grateful!), I was married myself- to the best guy ever!!  I've received so much support from all my family and friends and wonderful clients (who I must admit, have become my newest friends!)... it's hard to fathom how 2009 can top last year!  I know it will, though... Remember This Day has brought me so much joy and happiness and fulfillment in life.  I am able to help others create the most memorable days of their lives, and witness so much love and excitement in every event that my assistants and I coordinate.

Remember This Day wishes everyone a blessed and joyous 2009!!

December 6, 2008

Remember This Day had the great opportunity to plan a themed "couples' shower" for Drew and Laura last weekend in Rehoboth, DE.  What was so fun was that we were given "full discretion" to choose a theme, execute it, and organize all the fun little details!!  What was not so fun, was the short time frame in which we had to do this!  Lynn hired us 4 weeks before the event and only knew that she wanted a shower for the bride and groom to be that would be a fun experience for all the guests (with wide variety in ages!)

This was a great opportunity to really show what Remember This Day is capable of on a short time frame and not too much direction in the beginning!  After tossing around some ideas, we decided on a Casino Night theme (Drew loves his poker!) and based everything around that.  Lynn hosted the event in her lovely home in Rehoboth Beach Golf Course Community.  We even bought a fun 7-in-1 casino table... the roulette was a huge hit!!

We thought it would be a great idea to incorporate Drew and Laura's winter wedding with the prizes from the top Casino Night winners of their shower receiving fun winter themed prize baskets!  We were able to do this with a small budget, but with a BIG presentation!  All of the guests had a blast, and Drew and Laura really enjoyed being able to relax and have fun during their shower!  Can't wait until your wedding in 2 weeks, guys!!

A week later we opened our mailbox to find this lovely Thank You note from one of the guests (and prize winners!!!)

On September 27, 2008 *I* got married!  It was such a surreal experience to finally be the BRIDE rather than the DOC!  I had my assistant, Valerie coordinate the day-of... she was SUCH a huge help!!!  Everything went smoothly (other than some rain... but we still were able to take pictures outside when the sun peaked out!)  It was so wonderful to see all of my planning, details and DIY items come together so perfectly!  Below are just a FEW pictures of our big day.  Photos are courtesy of Photography by Laurie

We used Buker Limosines for the Rolls Royce and stretch Excursion!

The ceremony took place at St. John the Baptist on Main Street in Newark, DE

Flowers were by Creations for Celebration, and Programs were designed and assembled by myself at Remember This Day (with some help from a friend)

We took advantage of the nice weather once the rain stopped and took pictures on U of D campus!

We used Calligraphy by Carmela for all our stationary needs

Our cake table was one of my favorite details!

My wonderful assistant, Valerie- making good use of our emergency kit when my bustle broke!

Menus designed and printed myself (monogram also designed by myself)

Table numbers created by Remember This Day, too!

Our band, CTO's SoHo rocked the dance floor ALL night long... our night wouldn't have been the same without them!

We were lucky enough to DOC Lillian and Kyle's wedding this past weekend in Baltimore, MD.  Lillian was a DOLL to work with, and from the beginning she knew that she wanted a bright pink and green themed wedding.  Who says you can't use summer colors in the fall??  Not me!!  I love my clients because they are so fun to work with it makes my job that much easier to begin with!!  Below are some pictures of their amazing wedding day!!  Best wishes for a long and happy marriage, guys!!

September 22, 2008

This weekend *I* will be walking down the aisle, myself!!  I am so excited to see all of my hard work and ideas from the past 15 months of our engagement FINALLY come together!  I will be sure to post pictures as soon as possible.  In the mean time, if you are interested in more information regarding Remember This Day's event planning availability and packages, please email us at

I will be checking emails from time to time over the next few weeks, but promise to get back to you as soon as possible!  Thank you for your patience... and I can't wait to share with you our special day!

September 9, 2008

Laura contacted me less than a month before her wedding.  She had worked so hard on the details of her wedding day, and was beginning to worry how it would all come together.  Remember This Day was HAPPY to coordinate Laura and Jason out, and we knew from the beginning that this was going to be a classic event.

Laura and Jason were married on Saturday, August 2nd, 2008- in a beautiful ceremony held at the Cathedral Church of St John's in Wilmington, DE.  Colors of peach and mint green accents adorned the white backdrops of the day.  The reception followed at the gorgeous Delaware National Country Club.

Eastburn Florist created beautiful centerpieces and bouquets, simple and elegant... of which, many compliments were given.

Diamond State Party Rentals dressed the table linens and chair covers/sashes- which really gave the room an amazing look!!  The favors that Laura and Jason had were custom cds, and their table numbers were photographs of each of them in the specific year of the table (ie- Table 1992 was a picture of the both of them in that year).  It was very creative and the guests loved reminiscing!

Liz Marden created the beautiful cake (which was delicious, too!!) as well as the "Birthday" cake for a close family friend who shared his birthday with Laura and Jason's wedding.

R.J. Fleetwood DJ'ed the reception, and definitely kept the guests on the dance floor... we had a rowdy crowd, and I know that everyone enjoyed themselves!!

The awesome pictures that you see, are courtesy of Creative Imagery.  They were a pleasure to work with, and even stayed late to photograph some special moments at the end of the reception!

Jessica and Mike were joined in marriage on a gorgeous July afternoon.  There was not a cloud in sky, and the sun shined brightly on their outdoor ceremony at the Western Corral in Elkton, Maryland.  I knew from the first time that I met Jessica, Mike, and their adorable little girl, Adelynne, that their wedding day was going to be beautiful!  We put together the ceremony and reception in only FOUR months- and you would have never known by the wedding day!!

The ceremony took place outside by the chapel, and we decorated the area with white wooden chairs, shepherd's hooks with pastel pink and green pomander balls created by Creations for Celebrations (Judy really came through for us!  We kept getting compliments on them throughout the evening.)  We tied ribbon from each hook to block off the aisle, and then spread pastel pink rose petals along the sides of the aisle, as well as down the center of the aisle.  Jessica and her father were brought in on a horse-drawn carriage, which was a wonderful touch!  It was definitely a romantic day that fulfilled their vision.

Jessica's family and friends really came together to help create such a wonderful day, by lending their family catering business for the event, as well as close friends (Jamie Brown) who were in a band who performed and DJ'ed the entire night!  The dance floor was packed!!

Bill Alphins from A & A Photography captured every special moment for the couple... the images in this post are courtesy of A & A.  They did a wonderful job!

The beautiful cake was done by Chris Geary... and not only was it exactly what we had envisioned, it was delicious, too!

Jessica custom created the centerpieces that embodied the colors of the weddings- pink roses and baby's breath in a vase wrapped in a mint green ribbon and we added a strand of pearls to each.  They came out perfectly!

Jessica and Mike were so awesome to work with, and their love was so apparent during their vows, their dancing, and the way they looked at one another.  They are a wonderful couple- and we are honored to be able to work with them on such a Special Day!  Congrats!!

July 17, 2008

In honor of the compliments that I have received on my own personal stationery designs, and the demand for such detailed decor for events- Remember This Day will now be offering select stationery products.  I have always loved designing and computer programs... and after seeing what possibilities are out there, I really want to be able to offer my clients additional services!  For the time being (I am sure this list will expand), I am beginning to offer: menu cards, table number cards, place cards, etc.  Any detail that you want customized, Remember This Day will work with you to perfect the design.

If you are interested, please contact us for more information!

On another note, this weekend is Jessica and Mike's wedding!!  I am super excited to be coordinating their BIG day, and have every confidence that their wedding will be a-maz-ing.

July 6, 2008

Yesterday was Sarah and Breck's wedding!  It was an AMAZING day/evening... we couldn't have asked for things to have gone more perfectly!  Sarah and Breck were married in a beautiful ceremony that took place in the Wedgewood Room at the DuPont Country Club.  Following the ceremony, their guests dined on delicious appetizers and beverages on both the upper and lower terraces overlooking the beautiful golf course.  The weather held out and the sun even shined during the cocktail hour!

Afterwards, Sarah and Breck's guests were escorted up to the Crystal Ballroom for a lovely multi-course meal.  Midnight Hour ( rocked the dance floor and kept the guests quite entertained!  The flowers were shades of pink and royal blue (simple, elegant and classy) custom made by Judy from Creations for Celebrations (SUCH a doll to work with), and the guests kept complimenting how great the band and floral arrangements were!

Sarah and Breck were wonderful to work with... they were so calm and collected and everyone knew that they were in the presence of TRUE love when they exchanged their vows (8 years in the making!!)  Below are a few pictures of their Special Day!!

June 30, 2008

Karen and Ed's wedding took place on 6/7/08... it was such a gorgeous event!!  Despite the high heat index and humidity, their ceremony and reception went perfectly.  The ceremony took place at St. Denis Church in Broomall, PA with the reception at Ridley Creek State Park- in the old mansion!  I can't even describe how beautiful the ballroom was there... so much character!

Karen and Ed used Lia's Catering ( for their reception, and Jack Kapp from the Pros as their photographer, as well as other Pros members for videography and DJ.  They really made the night fun and enjoyable!!!  Karen put so much thought and attention to detail, and focused her reception after Dirty Dancing's "Time of your Life" (with a Victorian-esque feel, as well).  Everything came together beautifully... and their wedding day was definitely a Day to Remember!!

Karen and Ed chose a beautiful blue color with purple accents.  Karen is a wonderful DIYer and created these candles.  These memorial candles were really a hit... a great way to remember loved ones!

Congrats, Karen and Ed!!  Your wedding was so much fun!

June 6, 2008

Last weekend was Loretta and Kenny's wedding!!  The ceremony took place at Rockwood Park, and despite a rainy day- the wedding went off without a hitch!  Brewster, the couple's Saint Bernard, was the ring bearer- how cute!!  The vows were followed by a beautiful butterfly release outside the venue.

The reception was held at the Patio at Archmere... an AMAZING venue with such character and detail!  The cakes were baked by Cakes by Geralyn (  Probably the best cake I've ever tasted!  The DJ was DJ Retroactive from Bear, DE (the dance floor was PACKED!).  All in all, the rain dried up right after Loretta and Kenny walked down the aisle, and I'm sure there was a rainbow somewhere after the sun came out on such a blessed day :-)  Congrats, guys!

May 29, 2008

This evening I met with Karen and Ed... whose wedding I will be coordinating next weekend!  This was our second meeting, and Karen is super organized-which is such a huge help!!  Their theme is "Times of our Lives"... based off of the amazing Swayze movie "Dirty Dancing."  Their reception will be a classy and elegant affair, with a twist of the Victorian era.

I am very much looking forward to being a part of their BIG DAY and can't wait to help coordinate such a special moment for two wonderful people!!

May 26, 2008

This past Saturday was Ashley and Chris' wedding!!  It was amazing... a beautiful black and pink themed decor, with everything a princess bride could dream of!  Although I attended as a guest, rather than a coordinator- I helped Ashley and Chris along the way in their planning... and I like to think that I made Ashley's life a bit easier!!  At least she says I "kept her on track"!!

The ceremony took place at St. Anthony of Padua in Wilmington, DE... with the reception to follow at the Mendenhall Inn.  Below are a few non-professional photos of the blessed day.

April 28, 2008

Event planning has always been a passion of mine, and I knew that Kaprese and A.J.'s Baptism celebration was going to be the perfect day!  I worked with Afton for a few months back and forth regarding the decor and details, met with her once to discuss things, and spent Friday evening helping her and Heather decorate the hall for the party!  Saturday morning I got there bright and early for some last minute touches and then the day began!

I can't say enough wonderful things about Afton and her family!!  They are really team players and made me feel like I was welcome at their celebration!!  (I even found out at the party that her aunt was my kindergarten teacher- small world!!) - see pic below!

Kaprese and A.J. were adorable, quite possibly the cutest kiddies ever!!  It was wonderful working with Erin Farrell who photographed this special event!  Here are just a few "teaser" pictures of this blessed day!  Enjoy!
